Description: |
| The ratchet action is described in relation to wrenches and tap wrenches. The ratchet head is described as thinner than the body of the wrench, with the ratchet dogs inserted in pockets in the wrench body. The head is held in by screw-ring retainers.
Known examples marked GOODRICH, with the patent date, and are the same size as other ratchets of the same period that were produced as rim bolt wrenches for the first generation of automobile tires. The mechanism is also described in ads for various BAY STATE ratchet wrenches produced by Tudor Mfg. Co. |
