Description:
Info from Joe Young: Ostensibly it is a HATCHET with a hammer head However, the head also incorporates a wire cutter, wire tripper, and wrench. The long handles have knurled grips. The channeled underside of the upper handle has a knife blade and can opener. The lower handle has a screwdriver at the end and a corkscrew mounted midway along the handle. (With the corkscrew in that position, I do not see how it could be very useful.) In a closed position the can opener, knife blade, screwdriver and corkscrew fold into the handle. The piece is marked Haynes-Bates Manufacturing Co. Chicago around the rivet head. It is further marked on the hatchet blade in an encircled oval High Grade Tool Steel-Warranted-Patent Pending. The piece measures 13 inches (33 cm) in length and weighs 2.2 lb (1 kg)
