Description:
Quick adjust nut wrench with the shank of the movable jaw having teeth that engage teeth on the main shank. The distinctive shape of the handle to accommodate the movable jaw makes this wrench readily identifiable.

Marketed as the IDEAL WRENCH; known example marked "PAT. E. B. SMITH MAY 9, 1893 PICKEL AND SMITH ST. LOUIS."

Corresponding Canadian patent no. CA-43,345 was issued to Pickel and Smith on June 24, 1893 ,and British patent GB-189309212 was registered May 9, 1893.
