H. B. Willson & Co. - patent attorneysMy invention relates to improvements in metal working machines, and more particularly to "one for automatically dressing or finishing metal work-blanks. One object of the invention is to provide a machine for automatically and continuously turning, boring and facing, grooving, cutting off or otherwise acting upon a piece of metal to produce a finished article or articles from a rough, blank, the present embodiment of the invention being adapted for automatically making eccentrically-bored piston rings. Another object of the invention is to provide a machine of this character with an internal eccentric differential gear feed mechanism for reducing the speed between the driving and driven parts of the machine. A further object of the invention is to improve and simplify the construction of machines of this character and thereby render the same more efficient. |
