Abstract:

Lubricators, sightfeed, specially suitable for cylinders of air-compressors but applicable also to steam engines. Oil passes through the passage p, controlled by the valve g, to the nozzle m in the sight-tube l. In order that the pressure above the oil may be equal to that below it, a second passage p<1>, controlled by the valve h, is provided. A tube q extends from the passage p<1> to the top of the oil vessel a.
