Description:
"The dies are made of considerable length to allow for wear, and they are set up in the holder by an eccentric slot plate." The 1894 Catalogue of Engineers' Tools etc. from the Britannia Company, on page 24, features "Britannia Company's New Patent Screwing Machines (McIlquham's Patent, No. 15,982.)" That firm's 1905 catalogue included updated models of this basic design, with "other sizes in preparation".
