Vintage Machinery entry for Crescent Machine Co.
Description:
These guards first appeared in the 1912 Crescent catalog as an option, and were marked "Patent Applied For". They also appeared in the 1913 catalog, but had disappeared by the time of the 1916 catalog. Machines have been observed in the wild with these guards; they have a decorative stamped pattern showing a sunburst design and "Crescent" across the top.
