Vintage Machinery entry for Cincinnati Milling Machine Co.
Description:
Improvements to the inventor's patents 2,826,540 and 3,004,910, which laid down the basis of practical electrochemical machining (ECM). Those patents were used for the first commercial ECM solution, from Anocut Engineering Co. This current patent was assigned to Cincinnati Milling Machine Co., whose Metadynamics Division made the Electrodyne production plunge grinding machine. They also made, and patented (3,499,830) a machine for ECM production of gears.
