Vintage Machinery entry for Ingersoll-Rand Co.
Description:
The invention is a machine to sharpen a rock drill containing a longitudinal hole for the conveying of air and water to the cutting edge to carry away the swarf. During sharpening the hole tends to become blocked, and this invention forces a pin through the hole to clear it. See also patent 1,349,330, which gives a further improvement to this invention.
