Description:
Multiple position slip-joint pliers type tool with hammer poll. The jaw faces are similar to those in the "Eagle Claw" plier wrenches (see pat. no 1,016,296). The specifications contain an extensive list of potential uses: pliers, hammer, wrench, screw driver, wire cutter, pipe holder, staple puller, cotter pin puller, tin snips, nail puller, nut cracker, hot pan holder, hog ringer, etc.

The authors of THE HAMMER; THE KING OF TOOLS connect this patent to a pliers combination tool sometimes marked, "FARMERS TOOL AND SUPPL. CORPORATION 4615 WASHINGTON STREET DENVER, COLORADO" That tool has straight handles, and the jaw shapes are closer to traditional plier jaws.
