Description: |
| The jaws are at right angles to the handles, and have gripping teeth for pipe and irregular items as well as notches which form grips for round bolt heads as shown in the drawings. The tool has a three-position slip-joint size adjustment. Schlehr received a patent on Feb. 4, 1913 for a closely related pliers tool with jaws at a 45 degree angle and wire cutter notches (pat. no. 1,051,921).
Both designs were marketed as EAGLE CLAW, and are shown in trade mark no. 72,618 issued November 25, 1913 to the Eagle Claw Wrench Co. in Chicago. |
