Description:
From "Journal of the Franklin Institute": "Such machines as the above named are capable of almost infinite variation in the manner of forming and arranging their respective parts, and it is altogether out of the question to attempt a brief description of them. The specification before us occupies many pages of record, and contains throughout, references to the drawings; the claims are made by referring to these drawings by letters and numbers. The machine may be, and probably is, -a very good one, but a number of others might be made equally good, and yet be so constructed as not to interfere with it, or with each other."
