| The quick-adjust action uses multiple toothed "levers" that engage a rack on the sliding jaw. Each of the "levers" has a slightly different length from the common pivot point. The movable jaw is pulled into engagement by the interior tension spring, and the tooth on the lever closest to the final position engages the rack tooth to hold the adjustment. |
