| Locking pliers design. The 7 inch BMC MFG CO. PATENT APPLIED FOR plier wrench matches this design. The 9 inch BMC MFG. CO. PAT. NO. 2388580 OTHER PATENTS PENDING has a different toggle linkage between the lever handle and the fixed handle, similar to the arrangement shown in patent no. 2,388,580 -- see the 2nd photo. Both are made primarily of flat stampings riveted together. The center of the fixed handle is red plastic, and the fixed jaw is a forging. |
