The specifications elaborate the major steps of assembling the parts of this wrench.

Examples found marked "EVANS WRENCH CO. FALL RIVER, MASS" with the patent number or patent date; more commonly found marked "EVANS PAT'D ZIP GRIP L.A. CALIF."

Evans' earlier slide & helix adjust patents (nos. }1,391,179} and 1,449,386) were used in the HANDE wrenches producedy by th H&E Wrench Co. of New Bedford, Mass.
