1889 TRIMO pipe wrench (FLICKR)
Description:
The distinguishing features of the design are the shape of the adjustable jaw, and the shape of the screw threads. Together with Vinton's Feb. 12, 1889 patent 397,618 and his Nov. 5, 1889 patent 414,663, this is the first TRIMO pipe wrench.

The 1889 patent was noted on the adjustable jaws of TRIMO pipe wrenches for several decades, along with the the date of the next version in design patent no. D27,540.
