Description:
The patent addresses the faces of the swinging jaw of self adjusting wrenches described in Mead's earlier patents. The specifications note patent nos. 1,735,257 and 1,885,616. This patent is for two contact areas on the swinging jaw and their relationship to the fixed jaw surface.

This is the fifth patent relating to successive iterations of the MASTERENCH; the first two are 1,533,602 (Apr. 14, 1925) and 1,634,908 (July 5, 1927).
