Description:
The patent is for the adjusting mechanism. It addresses friction between the slide and the spiral, and friction at the bearings of the rotating parts. The handle is an oval or flattened tube shape. The specifications note some of the parts were described in Schlote's July 15, 1952 patent (no. 2,603,116).
