Description:
According to the 1873 "Subject-matter index of patents for inventions issued by the United States Patent Office", this patent was granted an extension; that is strong evidence that the invention was manufactured.

The 1882 catalog of Rowley & Hermance Co., page 46, shows a "double blind wiring machine" that somewhat resembles this patent's drawing. Even with the extension, this patent would have been expired by then but it does suggest that it was a good design.
