| This quick-adjust pipe wrench is based on Dan P. Foster's Dec. 9, 1879 patent (No. 222,484). It uses a slide with a spring-loaded pawl instead of a knurl for the adjustment mechanism.
This patent is noted in an unrelated later Armstrong wrench patent (no. 335,986). |
