Description:
Reinforcing plate attached to the bottom of the handle. Key to the design is the groove in the plate to receive the edge of the blade and extending to the handle bridge.

Patent marked examples with marking on the plate base are found on Harvey W. Peace saws. This patent was advertised on Peace's P68 Perfection Saw.
