Description:
Reinforcing plate attached to the bottom of the handle. Key to the design is the groove in the plate to receive the edge of the blade and extending to the handle bridge.

Patent marked examples on the plate are found on Harvey W. Peace saws and this patent was advertised with Peace's P68 Perfection Saw.
