Description:
An interesting combination nobody had thought of before-- a combination scribe/dividers and marking gage. I'm not sure what task requires these two tools together, but the execution on this piece is pretty interesting.

What is particularly unusual in this design is the two nested arms carrying marking wheels. It's a great idea that shows up in several later patents (most notably the A.A. Harvie patent, 998688 - 7/25/1911), and in a couple of different production pieces.
