Description:
Adjustable jaw on a head which can be positioned at a range of angles to the handle. Friede's adjustable angle wrench designs are distinctive.

Patent no. 525,683 is a pipe wrench version, and no. 525,684 applies the same principle to a combination pipe and nut wrench. The combination wrench was produced by the STAR WRENCH CO. of St. Louis, MO; one can presume the same company produced the unmarked nut wrenches based on this patent.
