Description:
The basic wrench is similar to H.A. Thompson's Nov. 2, 1880 axle nut wrench (patent no. 234,091), with the addition of springs to keep the movable jaw and adjusting nut engaged, and a screwdriver at the end of the handle. The shank is square, with thread segments cut on the corners.
