Description:
This pliers/tongs type tool has teeth facing opposite directions on its jaw surfaces. The jaw surfaces can slide on tapered dovetail bases on their underlying handles.

A known example stamped "Remington Pat June 10, 1902" has fixed jaw surfaces.
