Description:
The features of this patent used in production are the slotted shaft of the movable jaw and "T" rib and retainer on the main handle piece. The patent describes a pipe wrench.

The abridged specifications for corresponding British patent GB-190416376 (no. 16,376 of 1904) note a nut wrench option. The nut wrench was called the TRIMO MONKEY WRENCH, with a thin profile 10 inch version called the AUTO. .

By 1912, this design for the monkey wrench was dropped and replaced with a solid shank adjustable jaw passing through a relatively thin walled frame extending from the handle -- the frame style appears in patent no. 1,430,955.
