Description: |
| The "T" thumbscrew slides the two sets of wedges past each other, clamping the axle nut wrench to the wheel hub. Then turning the wheel also turns the axle nut, to remove or replace it. This also insures the nut is not dropped into dirt.
Known example marked only with patent date.
The GIFFORD (pat. no. 206,721), LANCASTER (Pat no. 267,228) and STAR (pat no. 837,493) wrenches are others that clamp the axle nut to the wheel hub. |
