| This important patent covers what became known as the Fay Automatic Lathe. In 1912 some additional improvements were made by Otto W. Schaum, patent 1,042,149. It appears that by 1917 the rights to this lathe belonged to Jones & Lamson Machine Co.; a team led by Ralph Flanders made more improvements to the design (patent 1,219,813). |
