| The spring which holds the quick-adjust frame against the rack in the main shank also allows the hook jaw to move to grip and release pipe. The design was improved upon by Wright's Jan. 10, 1911 patent (no. 981,234). This Feb. 1910 patent is cited in the markings on the A. Harvey's Sons Wright Wrench. |
