Description:
This invention relates to new and useful improvements in automatic mortising apparatus and the object in view is to produce a simple(!) and efficient machine of this nature in which an elongated mortise may be formed in the block or board, the bottom of the mortise being straight and the end of the mortise concaved." What qualified as "complex"?
