Description:
Pliers type tool with jaws designed to manipulate components of automotive tire chains. In particular, the tool opens and closes the connectors that attach cross bar chain to the side chains.

According to contemporary advertisements, American Chain Co., Inc. supplied these with WEED automotive tire chains.

A known example has this patent date along with the earlier WEED chain plier patent no. 1,069,041.
