Description:
The main focus of the patent is the pivot pin for a slip-joint pliers. The head is recessed in a slot and the other end is riveted in a countersink with fluted sides.

The patent was used by Schollhorn and successor companies for smooth-sided slip-joint pliers. For example, a 1930 hardware catalog shows it on different UTICA pliers.
