Description:
This wedge-shaped block with gripping teeth and a spring clip to attach it to the movable jaw of a monkey wrench is a pipe grip.

A known example has sufficient visible markings to infer that Kelly and Hubbell produced it at East Tawas, MI.

Corresponding Canadian patent CA-27,019 was granted June 22, 1887,
