Description:
This invention represents a very early version of what is now termed a radial arm saw. It is not known whether it ever saw production. A key difference between this saw and later designs is that this one is powered by a lineshaft or remote-mounted motor. The modern radial arm saw was created when Ray De Walt put a motor right on the carriage so that the blade could be mounted directly on the motor's arbor.
