Description:
Adjustable alligator wrench; the jaw opening adjustment is held by a sliding collar which engages rack teeth on the back of the movable jaw. The fixed jaw includes longitudinal teeth.

Known examples marked "PUGSLEY'S PAT" with the patent date.

The wrench received Canadian patent no. CA-47,508 on November 11, 1894, and British patent GB-189422338 was registered Nov. 19, 1894.
