Description:
In 1777, Thomas Farrington, of Groton, Mass., was a surveyor and a lieutenant colonel in the Revolutionary Army. He was discharged after being found guilty of passing counterfeit money. Farrington claimed that he was duped by a man who had passed him the money.

Because of the Patent Office fire in December 1836, little is known about this patent. There are no patent drawings available. This patent is in the database for reference only.
