Description: |
Joshua R. H. Potts - patent attorney
My invention relates to improvements in adjustable level attachments, the object of the invention being to provide a relatively small compact device which may be readily carried about in the pocket of the user, and may be quickly attached to a board having a straight edge, so that a plumb or level of any desired length may be quickly made. A further object is to provide a device of this kind, which dispenses with the necessity for carrying a large and cumbersome board with the other tools of the mechanic, and in lieu thereof provide a small device which may be attached to any board, and in accordance with its position on the board operate either as a level or a plumb. A further object is to provide an attachment of this kind which may be operated without attachment to any board, and which may be manufactured and sold at a comparatively low price, and which will be efficient in all respects in the performance of its functions.
