Description: |
A friction "shoe" within the case holds the shaft in position in the interval between the two periods of engagement of the the partial gear and the pinions on the shaft. Thrust bearings reduce friction and keep parts aligned.
The application was separated from a more comprehensive application filed March 19, 1920.
Three models of FAVORITE valve grinder were put on the market in early 1920. This patent appears to match the No. 3 for Service Station and farm tractor work. |
