Description:
Although not assigned, this patent apparently belonged to Hiram Wells of Florence, MA; see patent 12,705. This invention is for a spring mechanism used to connect the frame and the journal box for the saw arbor. The spring allows some lateral movement to accommodate lateral springing of the log.
