Horat Hammer Mold (FLICKR)
Description:
Horat advertised this combination ladle and mold in various auto repair trade journals. Lead hammers of this type are useful in sheet metal work and other applications where a heavy, non-marring hammer blow is useful. When the hammer head deforms, simply re-cast it.

A February, 1914 "new product announcement" said four sizes were available - to cast 2, 3, 4, and 5 pound hammers, and recommended a 50 / 50 mix of lead and babbitt metal.
