"Vintage Machinery" entry for Farmers & Mechanics Manufacturing Co.
Description:
An unlikely-looking design that requires the user to position a big four-footed frame at the base of the tree, with a steam-engine or horse-power connected to a driveshaft. Once the tree is felled, and assuming it doesn't crush the saw, the saw can be repositioned to crosscut the fallen log.
