My invention relates generally to lathe attachments and particularly to an appliance or device adapted for ready attachment to and removal from the cross-slide of a lathe, and the function of which is to cut or plane an interior key-way, groove or slot in the shaft-hole of a part, such, for example, as a gear, which has been previously turned and milled in the chuck of the lathe, the slotting being done while said part or gear is still in the chuck, without removing or disturbing it. The object of my invention is to provide a simple and effective appliance for this purpose, and to this end my invention consists in the novel interior slotting lathe-attachment
