Description:
The British patent combines internal constructions which received U.S. patents 732,858 and 739,316. The Irland Pipe Wrench as produced was based on a further simplification of the internal construction as shown in U.S. patent 800,850. (See entry for 800,850 for 1906 "new product" announcement for the wrench.)

Note: Early English patents (pre 1916) were numbered by the year and started at patent #1 at the start of each year in January. The patent # used in DATAMP represents the year of registration and the patent # (with "leading zeros" interposed to make the number total nine digits). This patent is #6,270 of the year 1903.
