Description: |
| Spring-loaded detent plunger to retain wrench sockets on driving shafts. The axis for the detent is angled slightly from perpendicular to the face of the shaft to facilitate the detent retracting as a socket is pushed against it.
This detent is cylindrical, and would have to be pushed back with a punch to remove the socket.
BLACKHAWK combined this patent with nos. 1,936,640, 2,003,155 and RE19,287 in their "FREEWHEEL RATCHET." The number also appears on Blackhawk ratchets based on patent no. 1,995,009.
