Description: |
| This invention constitutes a method of marking wrenches so that they can be marked with the owner's mark, and that mark cannot easily be altered; if altered, the alteration can easily be detected. The wrench is provided with a space for marking that includes a central raised rib. A "marking means" is provided—a press and dies—that accomodate the marking space with its raised rib. Once the tool is marked, the mark cannot easily be removed with a bench grinder because the space for the mark is nested with the ribs of the handle. If a means is found to remove the mark, it will be very difficult to do so without also removing the rib within the mark, which makes the defacing very obvious. |
