Description:
The focus of the patent is an enclosed frame structure for the movable jaw of a "Stillson" type pipe wrench, and internal springs to support the jaw.

A pipe wrench marked in part "BAHCO III / PATENT" bears strong resemblance to the general appearance of this design, but has a different provision for a spring.

Patent nos. 454,612, 805,946, 1,055,742, 1,276,093, 2,302,633, and 2,513,956 are cited as references. Corresponding foreign patents CA-535,689, GB-753,198, FR-1,111,897 etc. [can be found through ESPACENET] do not have comparable reference lists.
