| This is an improvement on Baxter's "Diagonal" wrench. The improvement is in strengthening the base of the jaws, and interlocking the wrench halves, to resist jaw spread.
The earlier patent is 14,221, issued February 12, 1856. J. Ashton Greene's February 19, 1884 design patent (no. D14,756) is a further refinement. |
