Description:
The essential patented features are the notched washer and guide pin which transfer all the strain from the adjusting nut to the main shank. This modification to the "Stillson" wrench (see pat. nos. 95,744 and 126,161) is not known to have been used.

The patent is noted in Foster's April 13, 1886 patent (no. 339,634).
