Description:
The opener consists of two tools. A strap wrench holds the container. A wrench with two fixed contacts and a third sliding bolt contact is designed to work with screw-on lids with an exterior lug.

Liljencrantz received a patent (no. 286,836) for another type of jar opener on Oct. 16, 1883.
