Description:
This work holding device clamps around a drill press column and is used to hold the work piece down on the table. Early versions had a cast arm, but the design quickly changed to a heavy-gauge stamped steel construction. They are very commonly found but are usually unlabeled. Information on the manufacturer is taken from ads in "Popular Science", e.g., January 1967 page 152. I own an example with a foil label on it with the same manufacturer name. For more information on this device, search on the manufacturers name on owwm.org.
